Bianca recently joined our team as a Junior Developer after moving to Amsterdam from Romania. Besides eating the traditional cake with the whole team to celebrate her joining Peecho, we sat down for an interview.

Can you tell a little bit about yourself?

I am a software engineer from Romania, just at the start of my career. I am a recent graduate from the Technical University in Cluj-Napoca.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

In my free time, I usually go out, travel or watch movies and each winter I try to plan a ski trip with friends someplace new.

What did you do before Peecho?

Before starting at Peecho, I had just moved to Amsterdam 2 months prior, so I am still discovering the city. And prior to that, I was working at Garmin in Romania.

Why did you decide to move to Amsterdam?

I wanted to experience life in a different country, and Amsterdam was my choice without ever having been here because of the culture, the IT market here and also I have always wanted to visit Amsterdam.

What might people not know about you?

A few years ago, I was part of a “work and travel” program so I got to experience summer jobs in the US, for example as a waitress. The best part of it was that it allowed me to visit all the places I wanted to see in the US, my favorite being Hollywood.

If you could only eat one type of food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Sushi :D

What do you want to achieve at Peecho (and what do you think of Peecho so far)?

I am excited to start my journey here because I’d like to grow as a developer and challenge myself. So far, I love the energy here, the people are very welcoming and the office is really beautiful :)
